Quote Request Terms and Intellectual Property Policy

Version and effective date: 12 August 2026

These terms govern the submission and review of a quote request. Sending a request does not create a contract and no payment is taken. A contract is formed only after AXIOM 3D provides a final quote and the customer accepts the stated price, specification and payment arrangement.

1. Our service

AXIOM 3D provides contract 3D-printing and related preparation, finishing, packing and delivery services. We manufacture from designs supplied or identified by customers. We do not acquire ownership of a customer's design merely because it is submitted for review or printing.

2. Customer design and rights declaration

When submitting a model, file, image or link, the customer must select the basis on which they are entitled to commission the print. The accepted bases are:

A personal-use or non-commercial licence does not automatically permit manufacture by a paid printing service. If a licence is unclear, the customer should obtain written permission from the creator or rights holder before submitting the request.

3. Customer warranty

The customer confirms that the rights information supplied is complete and accurate and that commissioning AXIOM 3D to make the requested physical print will not infringe copyright, design rights, patents, trade marks, contractual restrictions or any model-platform licence. The customer must promptly provide reasonable evidence when requested.

4. AXIOM 3D review and refusal

AXIOM 3D may inspect the supplied link, licence and supporting information, request further evidence, pause a quote, or refuse a request. We will refuse work where we know, or have a reasonable basis to believe, that manufacture would be unlawful or would breach a model licence. A customer declaration assists our review but does not make an otherwise unlawful print lawful.

5. Files and permitted use

Customer files will be used only to assess, quote, manufacture, communicate about and keep necessary records of the requested work. AXIOM 3D will not add a customer file to a public catalogue, sell additional copies, or claim ownership of it without separate permission. Files and declarations may be retained for a reasonable period for order administration, legal compliance and dispute handling, then deleted when no longer required.

6. Quotes, price and production

A quote may include material, machine time and wear, electricity, setup, slicing, supports, finishing, packaging, handling and delivery. The final quote will state the intended quantity, material and known specification. Printing begins only after acceptance and any required payment. Changes requested after acceptance may require a revised quote.

7. Custom work and cancellation

Most prints are manufactured to a customer's specification and may have limited resale value. Any cancellation rights, exceptions and charges will be explained with the final quote and applied only where permitted by UK law. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer's statutory rights, including rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or improperly performed work.

8. Print characteristics and fitness for purpose

Layer lines, support marks, minor dimensional variation and colour variation are normal features of FDM printing. The customer must tell us before accepting a quote if the part is safety-critical, load-bearing, food-contact, medical, electrical, for a child, or intended for another regulated or high-risk use. We may refuse such work or require an agreed specification and appropriate testing. We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill.

9. Prohibited requests

We may refuse weapons, unlawful items, counterfeit goods, deceptive branding, items intended to defeat safety or security controls, and any request presenting unacceptable legal or safety risk.

10. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights. Any other limitation must be reasonable and will be stated in the final contract where applicable.

11. Personal information

We collect contact details, order information, model files, licence declarations and delivery information to answer enquiries, provide quotes, fulfil contracts, prevent misuse and keep necessary business records. Information may be processed by service providers used for website hosting, email, file storage, payments and delivery. It is not sold for unrelated marketing. Questions or data-rights requests can be sent to info@ab-group.co.uk.

12. Governing law and contact

These quote-request terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Mandatory consumer protections and rights to use applicable dispute or court procedures remain unaffected. AXIOM 3D operates from Swansea, United Kingdom. Contact: info@ab-group.co.uk.

Important: This policy is intended to support a careful contract-manufacturing workflow. It should be reviewed by a UK solicitor before being relied on as the final terms of sale for a growing commercial operation.
